FEEDING FRIENDS

Imagine a grocery bill for a family of 15,000
At Audubon Nature Institute we are always stocking our kitchens with nutritious produce, grains and meats to feed more than 15,000 animals at the Zoo, Aquarium, Insectarium and Research Center. Our grocery bill is a bit larger than that of the average New Orleans household—more than $390,000 each year—so every $15 donation to Feed the Animals helps us provide delicious meals for everything from ants to zebras.

What is on the grocery list?
> Southern Sea Otters, Buck and Emma, consume 18 pounds of seafood each day.
> Butterflies at the Insectarium love fruit and snack on mangos and kiwis.
> Asian Elephants, Panya and Jean, each eat 160 pounds of food a day.

Help feed Audubon’s animals today
Make a donation that will give our butterflies a sweet treat, our sea otter a snack or our gorilla a Thanksgiving meal. Every banana, yam and crawfish makes a difference!

Audubon’s animals thank you!
