Hi Tom! It was a day of experimenting! Shot with a Canon 5D that day. I am not sure if I am sold. I just converted to an iMac , so one thing at a time. Cheers, Wm.
There is no doubt that a viewer brings with them , their own notions and preconceptions about what something is or is not! I am in fact unsure about using a digital camera, but I very much like this image! I would not have posted it otherwise!
I like the image as well, William. It just struck me as an especially apt choice for the subject of digital photography, even more so for the by no means straight-forward subject of making the choice to go digital. There's a wonderful unresolved dissonance in the picture. My baggage involves using a digital camera without a proper viewfinder, so that taking a photo usually involves some kind of frame, zoom in, focus, zoom out, reframe process. Every time I pick up my old Canon AE-1 after using the digital , it's like a revelation. Anyway, I hope you survived the first half on Saturday, as it sounds like the second half was quite exciting for your Tigers.
William thats the camera I was using when you came over that October ... It's served me well over the years and regardless of what the film lovers thoughts are about digital... it is the image that counts. Tom

Your ambivalence screams through that image loud and clear. Or maybe I'm just projecting my own feelings.
