I was living in New Orleans for the storm + 6 days of the Kafka nightmare flood, before escaping over the bridge to Baton Rouge in a pick-up truck with dog Flora, back pack, guitar and bicycle. When Rita came rolling in I couldn't stop trembling and had to move on further north up the 90th meridian to Memphis where I live still. I do get back to town monthly, on the train, to perform usually at Neutral Grounds, keep up with friends and whatnot...lots of whatnot. I started the Ladder back in November as therapy.
